Baltimore Police Investigate Fatal Shooting, Take Suspect into Custody

Baltimore Police Commissioner Rich Worley reported that officers discovered a 79-year-old man deceased in an apartment and a 72-year-old man critically injured, who was transported to a hospital. SWAT officers searched the building and took a 65-year-old resident into custody.
The surrounding streets remained closed at noon as the investigation continued, but officers began reopening the area after 1 p.m.
City Schools informed 11 News that Paul Laurence Dunbar High School and the
National Academy Foundation, which shares a campus, was placed on "restricted movement"—a lockdown status—due to the nearby shooting, which was unrelated to the schools.
