Central Wins Over Jackson State In Overtime

Coach Prime, Jackson State loses to Central University during overtime. Quarterback Davius Richard ran for 97 yards and two touchdowns, including a 1-yard scoring plunge in overtime. North Carolina Central beat Jackson State 41-34 in Saturday’s Celebration Bowl to spoil coach Deion Sanders' bid for an undefeated season in his final game with the Tigers.

This ends Deion Jackson's football season with another loss. Jackson State won consecutive SWAC championships with a 43-24 victory over Southern on Dec. 3.

Coach Deion Sanders is taking over the football program at Colorado, but he wanted to finish the season with his Tigers first. Shedeur Sanders will play for his father in Boulder.
